Love your “igloo”! Are you located on Long Island? My brother lives in Medford, I see you do workshops in Patchogue. I would love to do a workshop with you, maybe sometime when I’m up there visiting from North Carolina.

      Hi Laura,
Thank you so much, please feel free to get in touch when you’re up visiting. Hopefully the workshop schedule works for you, if not maybe we can schedule a private lesson!

Hi Justine, I love your work!
What is that blue “bubble wrap” looking piece that you have on the bottom layer when you are felting? It shows in the photos.
    Thanks,
    Ellice

      Hi Ellice,
Thank you so much… I left you a note on the wet felting FB page, but just in case you don’t see it, here’s what I wrote: I felt on pieces of solar covering! I’ve lucked out and have found rolls of it on the side of the road that people are throwing away (usually toward the end of the summer). I scrub it really good and it’s all I’ve ever really used. I slice it into different sized pieces with a razor (some longer for scarves, some smaller for vessels etc.) I’ve gone into swimming pool supply places and they charge for custom sizes and don’t usually keep a stock of scraps. Here is a link to something similar to what I use, but like I said, I’ve found it all on the side of the road. Please note, I haven’t seen this link in person, but from what I can see, it looks really close to what I use. http://www.lesliespool.com/Leslies-5-Year-In-Ground-Solar-Rectangular-Solar-Blankets-for-In-Ground-Pools/5-Year-In-Ground-Solar.htm
Let me know if you have any other questions, and I hope that helps!

I met you today at the Fiber Festival at Hallockville. I loved your designs and work. Definitely interested in your nuno felting in Riverhead at the East End Arts in July. Unfortunately, your workshop is not listed on their website now. Is it possible they have not yet fully prepared their summer offerings? Do you suggest I call them instead?
    Thanks.

      Hi Kathy,
Thank you thank you!!! I’m not sure if the summer workshops are listed just yet? I’ll call and find out when they’ll be posting the schedule online. However, I do know that quite a few people have called to sign up for the classes, perhaps they’re finding out about them through word of mouth? I’m not sure, but feel free to give a call and sign up if you’d like. Hope to see you at class, I’m looking forward to it 🙂

Hello Justine, I was a student in your wet felting class. After class, as I was instructed to do, I signed up for your class combining silk with felted fibers. I just need to confirm you have space for me because the
Woman who signed me up thought it was full prior to my sign up. Secondly, you asked for color preferences and mine are very pale pink, wine or grey. Thanks, and see you next week for the wet felted vessels class. Jane
